Taste of Hartford 2018
Taste of Hartford 2018 has officially begun! Lasting from July 16th - July 29th, this 13-day culinary event has something for everyone. Restaurants across the city have prix-fixe menus featuring their specialties and unique dishes for $20.18 or $30.18. Find the menus here and the list of participating restaurants, below.
We stopped by On20 and Porron to get a sneak peek at some of the dishes featured on their Taste of Hartford menus!
At ON20 Executive Chef, Jesse Powers was kind enough to let us sample some of the delicious dishes included on their $30.18 prix fixe menu (honestly, it was difficult to decide what we wanted to try since it all sounded fantastic).
We enjoyed the tagliatelle negro, and the beef tartare, topped with trout roe for the perfect texture bite (think very fancy, grown-up, pop rocks vibe).
You can finish your meal with any of their three desserts, we tried the summer berry tart, which was the perfect combination of decadent and refreshing.
Over at Porron & Pina, their Taste of Hartford menu is a 3-course Spanish inspired dinner menu is $30.18 and includes delightful bites like Patas de Pato (smoked duck legs - we highly recommend) and plank roasted salmon accompanied by perfectly charred onions and herb potatoes.
